His teaching credential was received from California State University, Los Angeles. Mr. Martinez had the good fortune of working in a successful Humanitas academy at Franklin High School, American Studies Academy. It was there that we honed his craft and took a leadership role with ASA, which helped him to assist with the creation of SoHDA, one of the original pilot schools on the Sotomayor campus. He is proud to be a member of the Sotomayor family, which aims to provide students with the opportunity and the expectation to excel academically and learn the value of becoming involved citizens in a caring community.
