Mrs. Vischer has lived in the Los Angeles area her entire life, with the exception of a two-year move to London, England, to work for a small publishing company. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in English at UCLA. Her early career includes editorial work for Bon Appétit and Westways magazines. Later, she served as a manager and report copy editor with a national accounting firm. Mrs. Vischer’s passion for English/Language Arts led her to teach in the Glendale Unified School District and earn her secondary credential at Cal State Northridge. Mrs. Vischer loves reading, movies, attending plays and concerts, Bruin football, and spending time with her family. Her travels have led her to China, West Africa, and Europe. She feels privileged to be a part of the superb educational community of Sotomayor.
