English Learner Advisory Committee

 

ABOUT THE ENGLISH LEARNER ADVISORY COMMITTEE:

 

The English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) works to ensure that the needs of students with limited English are being met. This committee advises staff on English Language Development programs and services. It comprises the Principal or Assistant Principal, key teachers, and a group of elected parents of children who are in the process of learning English. Parents representing the various language groups at Sotomayor are encouraged to participate on this committee.
