Danaelle Arroyo is a California native. She was born in Santa Monica and raised in Santa Clarita, California. She received her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Biology at California Lutheran University. This will be Danaelle’s 5th year teaching for Los Angeles Unified School District and her 2nd year here at the Sotomayor complex. She holds 2 Career Technical Education (CTE) Credentials in Agriculture and Natural Resources and the other in Energy, Environment, and Utilities. She teaches a class called Photovoltaics and is very excited to continue sparking the curiosity of her students and getting them certified in this alternative energy industry sector. When Danaelle is not teaching, she enjoys staying active outdoors or posing in handstands around the world in her travels. She is this year’s Work Based Learning Coordinator and is looking forward to reaching out to local partners to work alongside the incredible students harvested here at Sotomayor Center for Arts and Sciences!
